Dr. Nader Mohandesi’s journey is one of dedication, vision, and a profound sense of gratitude for India. He arrived from Iran in 1985 to pursue his dream of medicine at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College. It was here that he discovered his true calling in surgery, serving 2 years in the college surgery department, before joining JJM Medical College, Davangere, to complete his Post-Graduation in Surgery (MS) in 1993.

A Pioneer in North Bangalore Healthcare After honing his skills in the Cardio-Thoracic Department at M.S. Ramaiah Hospital until 2000, Dr. Nader turned his sights toward community care.

• 2001: Established his first Day Care Clinic with Dr. Nilufar in Cook Town.

• 2006: Founded Kothanur Nursing Home. At the time, Kothanur was a quiet, undeveloped area with no other medical facilities around. Dr. Nader saw the need and established the region’s first trusted healthcare center next to the bus stop.

• 2010 & Beyond: As the community grew, so did his vision. He expanded to the larger Avita Hospital at Byrathi Cross and, following the pandemic, moved the facility to its current premises in Byrathi Bande.

The Rhythm of Life Apart from helping him fulfill his dream to become a doctor, India also introduced him to the world of music. A self-taught drummer, he formed a music college band with two of his friends. Dr. Nader brings the same rhythm and harmony to his medical practice as he does to his music. His artistic journey reached a high note when featuring in MTV Asia became a big achievement in the early 90s. Today, he continues to serve as a pillar of the community, blending surgical expertise with a compassionate, artistic soul.
